Caleb graduated from the University of Western Sydney with first class honours and the Ted and Renton Perpetual Memorial Prize for excellence in biomechanics. His honours thesis investigated “The effect of ‘neutral’ running shoes on plantar pressures and comfort in runners with a cavus (high arched) foot type.” Since graduating he has worked in multidisciplinary practices where he places an emphasis on a team approach to patient care.
He is currently involved in a large clinical trial into the effect of foot orthoses and sports footwear in reducing foot pain and increasing activity levels in people with Diabetes and peripheral vascular disease at Sydney’s Westmead Hospital. He has was also been a consultant podiatrist for the current Channel 9 prime time TV show “What’s good for you”, ABC morning radio and the Sydney Morning Herald. Professional association memberships include the Australian Podiatry Association, Sports Medicine Australia and the International Society of Biomechanics.
In his spare time he is a competitive distance runner competing at a state and national level and is member of UTS Northern Suburbs Athletic Club. Other interests include mountain biking, bush walking, and volunteer work.
